Hey, folks, I’m SEAC(R) John Wayne Troxell, and this is your Motivation Monday brought to you by Veterans Lending Group.
Hey, I want to talk to you today about a formula that I use to increase individual organizational performance, both in the military and in business that I call the ‘Striving for Excellence’ formula. And that means we have to dream big; we have to set lofty and attainable goals; we have to visualize and actualize.
First of all, and dreaming big – we have to have the mental freedom individually and organizationally to think about doing great things. We have to in our mind and as a group, we have to think of ways to make these big things, these great things are reality. We have to set high standards for individual and organizational performance, and we have to set the bar high for mission accomplishment. Then with setting lofty and attainable goals, we have to leverage our imaginative abilities on what we want to get done. We have to push ourselves to accomplish something great, and we cannot be afraid to set high goals for fear of disappointment should we not reach those goals.
Then we have to visualize reaching those goals. That means picturing in our mind of accomplishing those goals or the mission to a high state of excellence and then picture in our mind going through the steps to make these goals a reality. And then the last thing we have to do is actualize that. That means putting the visualization into action and getting out and accomplishing those goals. If we continue to use this formula, we will possibly reach our untapped potential individually or organizationally, we will continue to increase team performance and we will set the bar higher for future endeavors towards excellence.
Have a great week, everybody! Boom!
