Hey folks, SEAC(R) John Wayne Troxell here, and this is your Motivation Monday brought to you by Veterans Lending Group.
Today I want to talk to you about another key attribute that any member of a team, regardless in the Military or business should possess, and that’s ‘Mental or Intestinal Fortitude’ – And what is fortitude? It means you have a strong will in the face of discomfort, danger or pain, regardless of that physical, mental or emotional.
Can afford it to be developed? I think it can! First and foremost, you have to define your win on any task and endeavor. Second, you have to create efficient procedures that will get you to your win. And then because not everything goes to plan, you’ve got to have strong self-control. You have to have tons of relentless optimism that things are going to turn out well, and then last but not least, you have to rely on those sets and repetitions that you’ve had in just embracing the suck and living by the attitude of “I’m just going to drive on and get it done”, regardless of how bad the conditions are around me.
Remember this – when we develop the mental and intestinal fortitude necessary to stay strong in the face of adversity, we abate the fears of being in it, and we become better individuals and more effective and reliable members of the team.
Have a great week, everybody! Boom!
