Born in Orange, California and raised in New England and Florida, David graduated from Vero Beach High School in June 1986. As a high-school senior, he enlisted in the United States Navy and reported for recruit training in San Diego, California, following high school graduation. David holds an Associate of Science in Electronics Technology from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies (Summa Cum Laude) from Excelsior College. Additionally, David completed many command and staff leadership courses during his 34-year Navy career. Ultimately achieving the position of Force Master Chief (Senior Enlisted Advisor to a 3-star Admiral), 1 of 15 in the entire U.S. Navy, David completed his Navy career in 2021 and joined the leadership staff of Veterans Lending Group (VLG) as the National Director of Education. In this role, David leads a team of VA Home Loan Specialists and Educators whose goal it is to reach as many Service Members and Veterans as possible and educate them on their VA Home Loan Guarantee and other VA-related benefits. They also provide similar education programs to Real Estate and other Mortgage Industry Professionals so they can be better equipped to serve their Veteran clients. When not busy with work, David enjoys golfing, travel, DIY projects, and homebrewing. David is married to the former Terri Lynn Gregory of Virginia Beach, and they have two sons, David and John, both of whom are serving our country in the United States Navy.
