Jerry Turner

Growing up as a military brat my family moved wherever the Army needed us. Changing schools often while living in different states and countries taught me resilience and adaptability. I learned to get along and make new friends with just about anyone, from anywhere. As an adult this is where my passion for traveling, meeting new people and learning about new cultures comes from. When my dad had to leave us for months at a time with just a moments notice I took on extra responsibilities with my younger siblings and my immigrant mom who barely spoke english. I had to “grow up”, be more mature and independent at an earlier age. I didn’t get to choose to grow up in the military lifestyle but I wouldn’t change anything about it because it made me the person I am today. I also gained a special understanding of loyalty and patriotism that only active duty military, veterans and their families can fully appreciate. My dad’s retirement at Fort Campbell Kentucky allowed me to eventually set down roots in the Clarksville, TN area where I have spent the last decade working on Fort Campbell as a military contractor. I most recently worked with the Warrior Transition Battalion assisting our wounded, ill and injured soldiers in their transition back to the force or to veteran status. I am excited to be partnering with Veterans Lending Group in this next stage of my career and look forward to helping you achieve the ultimate dream of home ownership.
